STORY TIME |
|
They
were enjoying themselves when, suddenly, their attention was drawn towards a crab which
crawled into a hole in the sand near the steps. Just then, an expensive car stopped near
the pavement, an old rich lady along with her grand daughter stepped out. The old lady
told the driver to park the car near the Kali Mandir. |
|
The two
sisters watched the elderly lady and the little girl getting down the steps and walking on
the beach till they were out of sight. The girls were very curious to know where the crab
had gone. While they were searching for the crab, Gomita exclaimed, "Renuka, look! A
necklace! It must be that old lady's, the one who got down from the car with her grand
daughter". |
Necklace
in hand, Renuka & Gomita ran as fast as they could, dodging hawkers and people on the
way, till they found them standing near a shop selling articles made out off shells.
The old lady was buying a conch for her daughter and a pen studded with shells for
her grand daughter. |

When
the children gave the necklace to her she was so happy and grateful. She said, "My
daughter and son-in-law gave me this necklace on my 50th birthday. I would have felt so
miserable if I had lost it". |
Though
the girls were poor they were very honest. The old lady said, " I would like to
reward you both for your honesty. Please tell me what you want". |
