NOTE: Whatever it is applicable a minimum one third of the total hours has to devoted to
practical work in each subject.

MEDIUM:
Medium of instruction is English. |
The clinical and practical experience will be carried under the supervision of qualified nurses and incidental teaching is an asset on the field.

EXAMINATIONS:
|

ASSESSMENT: Assessment of the students will be done by the school throughout
the training period by Unit Tests and Monthly Tests. (Before each Board Examination a selection
examination will be held and those who pass the test shall be sent for examination.)

Field experience is regularly assessed and it will determine internal marks
along with the monthly assessments for each subject.

Board examinations are conducted
for practicals and theory at the end of each year.

There shall be 3 Board examinations in theory and practicals as per below scheme.

A candidate is eligible to appear for the examination on completion of 12 months of
the course.
The formal instruction and field experience separately each year should have attendance of
75%. At the end of the 3rd year the total prescribed field experience must be completed and
a student will not be awarded until the field experience is completed.
|
Practical experience record should be kept upto date.

DUTY: |
Students should work under the clinical supervision of a registered nurse both on
Day
Duty and Night Duty. |
HEALTH SERVICE: |
Health service is provided for staff and students. |

An annual medical examination and attention to such defects as may be found. |
b) |
Tuberculin testing and B.C.G. vaccination when necessary. |
c) |
Vaccination against small pox, typhoid, cholera and such other communicable
diseases as considered necessary. |
