While the temperatures soared
in the noon hours, the agitation rally taken out by Muslims picked momentum
and blocked the traffic at the Rama Talkies - Maddilapalem crossroads, near
Spencer's Hypermart and Yaseen mosque on the 25th of February, 2005. The rally
was taken out to protest against the opening of a 'Bar and Restaurant' in the opposite lane of the
'Yaseen' mosque. The city police were quick on their toes to aid in smoother
traffic flow near the junction.
