Teams from dozens of universities in South Zone have converged at Andhra University Silver Jubilee ground to participate in the inter-university volleyball tournament.
Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju inaugurated the tournament and explained the measures being taken by the university in promoting sports and infrastructure.
Nearly 60 of the 85 universities which confirmed their entry arrived and the rest are expected in the next two days. The teams and officials were provided accommodation on the campus. AU is organising an inter-university meet after a gap of two years.
