Port indoor stadium took the hue of yellow as owners of Telugu Titans went all out to provide support to its team in the Pro Kabaddi League on Monday night.
Volunteers handed over team’s yellow T shirts as the spectators entered the stands and home crowd was thrilled at the gesture.
Sparks of encouragement
Sparks of encouragement to the players at every move and the spectators donning the home team T shirts were loudly cheering every point scored in the first match between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Patna Pirates though their favourite team is scheduled to take on Dabang Delhi later in the night.
The organisers gave the privilege of singing the National Anthem, sung before the first match of the day, to a young girl.
This duty was done during the last two nights by film stars Amir Khan and Rana Daggubati.
Pravasthi, winner of Super Singer junior event, led the players and the spectators in singing the National Anthem. Son of one of the owners of Telugu Titans, a young boy Akhil Kolli tossed the coin for the first match.
A man dressed as a pirate stood behind the dugout of Patna Pirates and cheering the team, attracted attention of the spectators.
Mexican wave
The announcer also kept the crowd engaged by counting down for a Mexican wave around the stadium.
