Telugu Bible translation Bi-Centenary Celebrations

St Jerome was the first one to translate Bible from Hebrew to Latin, it was in Visakhapatnam that Bible was translated to Telugu for the very first time.

As per the historic inferences, the Greek version of the New Testament of Bible was first translated into Telugu by Rev Benjamin Schulz in the early 18th century. These manus were sent to Halle in Germany for the printing work.

As part of Bi-Centenary Celebrations the First translated Bible will be put to display on Saturday (10-11-18) from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm at Vuda Childrens Arena, Siripuram and on Sunday (11-11-18) from 5.00 am to 9.00 pm at Gurajada Kalakshetram, Siripuram.
