Dr.DWARAM TYAGARAJ enthralls music lovers: |
 On the occasion of 50th Death Anniversary of Violin Wizard of yesteryears ‘Padmasree’, ‘Sangita Kalanidhi’, Prof. Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu, Tarakeswara foundation has organized a Carnatic Vocal Concert by noted musician Dr. Dwaram.V.K.G.Tyagaraj. Sri.Sahadev Singh Manhas of the foundation has welcomed the artists which was innovatively held during the wee hours of the day i.e.6 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. Dr. Tyagaraj was accompanied on violin by sri. M.Neeladri and on Mridangam by Sri.Mandapaka Ravi along with a team of 25 students on vocal. Starting with a Varnam in the raga Chakravakam the compositions rendered during the concert included Ranganatham anisham in Gambhira Nata by Uttukkadu Venkata Subba Iyyer, Grahabalamemi in the raga Revagupti by Tyagaraja wherein the vocalist has rendered apalana in the raga and manodharmam of Neraval and Swarakalpana followed. ‘E daari sancharinthura’ in the raga Sruthi Ranjani of Tyagaraja is rendered soulfully.
Devotional compositions of Bhadrachala Ramadas viz, Bhalira Vairagyamentho in the raga Kalavathi, Thakkuvemi manaku In the raga Saurashtram, Dasanamaadiko in Naadanaamakriya of Purandara Dasa were rendered. Raga alapana in the Raga Anandabhairavi was rendered and the kriti ‘Marivere evaramma’ of Syama Sastry was the main composition for the day’s concert. Sri.B.Satyanarayana has proposed the vote of thanks. |
