Woman, paramour held on murder charge:

A woman, along with her paramour, allegedly murdered her husband for objecting to her extra-marital affair, at Marrivalasa under A. Koduru Police Station limits in the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as S. Bangarayya (50), a farmer. The accused were S. Kondamma (40) and her paramour S. Konari (50).

Police said that Kondamma, with the help of Konari, a farmer and resident of the same area, strangled her husband to death using a rope when he was asleep in the early hours of the day.

According to the police, when Bangarayya came to know about the illicit affair, he had warned both his wife and Konari to mend their ways. But the woman paid no heed to it. On Monday morning, Kondamma claimed that her husband died of a heart attack. But the locals and a son of Bangarayya found injury marks on the neck and lodged a complaint with the police. During interrogation, Kondamma confessed to the crime, said Circle Inspector of Chodavaram S. Kiran Kumar.

Police registered a case and took the woman into custody. They launched a manhunt for Konari.
