The disappearance of a M.Tech. student from Visakhapatnam who went missing from a train to Gwalior last week has left his parents, police and railway authorities mystified.
Praveen Kumar Das, resident of KRM Colony in Visakhapatnam is in his second year of M. Tech at a college in Gwalior. He had come to Vizag to visit his parents last week and he boarded the Visakhapatnam-New Delhi Samata Express on June 10 to go back to Gwalior. Praveen’s absence was noticed when his luggage and mobile phone reached the Nizamuddin railway station, the final destination of the train, without him. Based on the call details in the cell phone, the Government Railway Police (GRP) called Praveen’s parents. The parents also received a communication from his college at Gwalior that Praveen had not reported back. Sensing danger, the parents lodged a missing complaint with GRP in Visakhapatnam on Saturday night.
