A team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested S.T. Naidu, secretary of agricultural marketing committee, Vizag for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.10, 000 from a trader for an official favour. DSP of ACB (Visakha Urban) K Ramakrishna Prasad said that one PRV Jaganadha Rao, Cashew Wholesale dealer of SSS Stores, Kancharapalem in Vizag city approached Naidu for obtaining assessment order a few weeks ago. However, Naidu had demands the bribe for issuing the assessment order. Unable to pay the kickback, Rao had lodged a complaint with ACB. After verifying the facts, the ACB officials laid a trap and arrested Naidu red-handed when he was accepting the bribe through his supervisor Ch PNNE Bangararaju in his office room. Both Naidu and Bangararaju were arrested under various sections of PC Act and investigation is on.
