The city police have arrested members of two gangs who allegedly indulged in burglary under the Fifth Town and Three Town police station limits. The Fifth Town police have arrested Koyya Manoj Kumar, Girijala Satish Kumar, Khiladi Simhadri, and Koyya Jayalakshmi, mother of Manoj. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) J. Muralidhar said that all the accused were earlier involved in a number of burglary cases.
The members were involved in two major burglary cases in recent times and the police recovered gold and cash worth Rs. 3.75 lakh.
In another case, the Three Town police arrested two of a three-member gang and recovered Rs.1.45 lakh in cash and 25 gm of gold ornaments from them. The accused were B. Prasad and B. Prabhakar of Parvathipuram in Vizianagaram district.
