The City Police cracked four major cases on Thursday.
The Duvvada crime zone team arrested two persons on the charge of robbing 110 sewing machines from a private apparel company located in the Block E of Apparel Park in Fakeer Takia village of Gajuwaka.
According to DCP (crime) T. Ravi Kumar Murthy, the apparel company -- Chandu Apparels and Knits -- was closed down by Andhra Bank for loan default.
Thereafter, the company was sealed and the bank appointed one Boyi Leela Vilas Srinivasa Rao (32) of Marripalem as a security guard. Owing to financial problems, Srinivasa Rao took the help of Pandiripalli Jayaram (22) of Kancharapalem and Phaneendra Kumar of Marripalem, and broke open a window and robbed 110 sewing machines, a few air-conditioners, fans, tables and a generator.
Fake currency:
In another case, a CCS team arrested two persons on the charge of circulating fake currency notes. The arrested were Md. Zia of Aurangabad, Bihar, and Md. Sohail, who runs an embroidery business in Visakhapatnam.
House breaking:
The MVP police (crime) arrested Yerni Srinivasa Rao, Kosuri Bhaskara Rao and Natti Satish Kumar, on the charge of breaking into the house of one N. Dhanaraju in MVP Colony. In another case, the Duvvada Crime Zone arrested Shaik Azeez, P. Hemanth and Punnapu Prasad Rao on the charge of breaking into the house of Venkata Reddy in Rajeev Nagar, Gajuwaka.
