Karakachettu Polamamba temple Executive Officer P.V.V. Satyanarayana Murthy was caught by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 60,000 from a person, here on Thursday (04-10-2018).
According to the ACB DSP Kinjarapu Ramakrishna Prasad, the official had demanded bribe from a watchman and two archakas for doing an official favour.
On Thursday, the EO asked the watchman and the archakas to give the bribe amount to his record assistant G.V. Siva, said the ACB DSP.
The ACB sleuths laid a trap and caught the EO red-handed. The bribe amount was recovered from his shirt pocket.
The DSP said that the accused had allegedly had taken bribes from as many as 11 people earlier.
Both the EO and the record assistant have been taken into custody. They will be produced before the ACB Special Court on 05-10-2018(Friday).
