Nursing student still in coma:

The 19 year old, first year student of B.Sc. Nursing of a private nursing college, G. Prasanth, who allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of a building in the college is still in coma and is said to be in critical condition at King George Hospital. The boy reportedly suffered multiple fractures on both the legs and hands and also on the face.
According to a relative of Prasanth, he had attempted suicide due to ragging in the college.
Talking to The Hindu , Murali, a cousin of Prasanth, said that they have lodged a complaint with the Bheemunipatnam police, stating that the boy was severely ragged by seniors in the college. “About 10 days back, Prasanth called up his dad and expressed the problem and wanted to leave the institution. He is a friendly boy, but very sensitive to certain issues” said Mr. Murali. While the college management claimed that there was some personal problem in the family, which led to the boy taking such an extreme step, the police, were not available for any comments.
Relatives claim ragging led to the boy taking such a step
