No breakthrough yet in rowdy sheeters murder case:

Though the police are yet to confirm any breakthrough in the murder case of T. Anil Kumar, it is learnt that they have zeroed in on a gang of five persons. Three of them are being questioned.
Anil Kumar (28), a rowdy-sheeter, who was involved in the sensational double murder case in Kancharapalem in 2011, was hacked to death by some anti-social elements in the Allipuram area under Two Town police station limits in the early hours of Saturday.
It is learnt that B. Narasimha Murthy alias Lacchu, Chittibabu, and Vijaykumar, all with dubious records, were being questioned by the police as they believe that they might have had a hand in the murder.
Chittibabu, who is the elder brother of Rajesh, one of the victims of the double murder, Lacchu and Vijaykumar are friends and belong to the same area.
On Friday night, Anil Kumar, a resident of Saligrampuram port quarters, had gone to the fishing harbour, where he had a heated argument with Tenki Ramana, believed to be a business associate, and even manhandled him. Later, he met Ramana’s brother-in-law Karuna Kumar at his residence at Allipuram around midnight. There, he reportedly had an altercation with Reddy Venkata Siva Kiran alias Podugu Kiran, Madhu, and Bappi (relative of Tenki Ramana) over manhandling Ramana. After that, when he was on his way home, he was hacked to death.

While Anil Kumar’s family members claimed that Podugu Kiran was the kingpin, Kiran’s family members said that Kiran was not involved and that it was a revenge killing committed by long-time opponents of Anil Kumar.
