Murder case solved, one held:

The police have cracked the murder case that occurred on February 20, near the fishing harbour under One Town Police station limits, with the arrest of the accused on Friday.
The murder mystery baffled the police, as there were hardly any clues. But a special team led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone –I) C.M. Trivikram Varma, ACP (East) R. Ramana and One Town Inspector V. Srinivasa Rao, built on the small pieces of evidences to zero down on Yerripilli Naresh, a resident of Suryapeta, Kakinada in East Godavari district.
On February 21, a body was found floating near Jetty 11 in the Fishing Harbour. The hands and the legs of the deceased were tied and this clearly indicated that it was a case of murder.
The victim was identified as one Pentayya alias Raju of Pagadalapeta of Kakinada.
The victim, a fisherman along with two others Suri and Prasad, had moved to Visakhapatnam about 15 days ago.
They had gone for fishing for about six days and returned to the shore on February 19 with the catch.
According to the confession of Suri and Prasad, the deceased had met one Naresh on the same night and had gone missing the next day. His body was found floating near the jetty a day later.
“We had sent a team to Kakinada to apprehend Naresh and on questioning he revealed that he had killed Raju, as he believed that Raju had an illicit connection with his wife,” said DCP Trivikram Varma. The accused had come to Visakhapatnam on February 19, and consumed liquor with Raju. Once Raju lost his consciousness after consuming good amount of liquor, Naresh used a bed-sheet to cover his face so that he was not able to scream and later tied his hands and legs with a nylon rope and pushed him into the sea. Thereafter, he moved back to Kakinada.

The accused was arrested on Friday and sent to remand.
