A 17-year-old Intermediate second-year student was allegedly kidnapped by one Ch Ramana Kumar under Anandapuram police station limits, here on Tuesday.
According to Inspector of Anandapuram, A. Parthasaradhi, a case was registered on Tuesday, after the parents of the girl lodged a complaint.
As per the parents’ version, the girl a native of Vemulavalasa, was being harassed by Ramana Kumar, a native of Saripalle village, Denkada mandal of Vizianagaram district.
He was allegedly asking the girl to marry him.
The parents suspect that she was kidnapped by him on Tuesday, said the inspector. A case was booked against him.
