Judge of Principal Senior Civil Judge Court and Assistant Sessions Judge Court, Anakapalle, V. Nageswara Rao on Friday sentenced Nadipuri Appalaswamy of Shramik Nagar near Akkayyapalem, the prime accused in a case of kidnapping and rape of a 15 year old minor girl to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment.
The Judge also sentenced three others, including a woman, who had assisted Appalaswamy in the crime to serve seven years RI each and to pay a fine of 3,000. Appalaswamy was also fined Rs. 8,000. They were sentenced under Sec. 376 (2)(g) of IPC.

Judge of the Special Court for ACB cases A.V. Ravindrababu on Friday found an ACTO at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes P. China Rambabu guilty of demanding and taking a bribe from a cashewnut trader of Palasa V. Santosh Kumar and sentenced him to undergo imprisonment for two years and to pay a fine of Rs. 5,000.
