Document Fraud Investigating Team (DFIT) on Monday arrested Chanumuri Bhaskara Rao on the charge of forging land documents and occupying a piece of government land that was allotted to physically challenged persons.
According to ACP (Madhurawada) Dasari Ravi Babu, the government had allotted land at Revallapalem under Bheemili mandal to the physically challenged persons.
Bhaskara Rao allegedly created forged documents and occupied a part of the land and claimed that the property belonged to him.
Bheemili tahasildar S. Bhavani, who noticed that a private person had occupied the government land, lodged a complaint with the police in 2013, and subsequently the case was transferred to the DFIT team. After verifying the facts, the DFIT team, led by Inspector T. Kanta Rao, ascertained that Bhaskara Rao had occupied the land by creating false documents and arrested the accused.
Fortwin injections seized
A CTF team, led by ACP I. Chittibabu and Inspector Illyas Mohammed, raided a premises at Indira Nagar near Old Dairy Farm on Monday and seized 114 Fortwin injections and 20 Nitrosun 10 mg tablets, and arrested a peddler.
The arrested was identified as Neelapalli Ravi Kumar (28), son of David Raju.
According to Mr. Illyas Mohammed, the accused had purchased the sedative drugs from Bhadrak district in Odisha.
The accused was handed over to the Arilova Zone Police Station for further investigation.
