A man who jumped into a well to escape an attack by honey bees drowned in it at Koruprolu village in the district on Thursday.
K. Prasad (30) of Addu Road under S Rayavaram mandal went to his coconut grove in the village. The honey bees, which were apparently disturbed by something, chased him and in a bid to escape them, he jumped into the farm well and drowned.
His family members searched for him in the coconut grove, when he had failed to return home in the afternoon. They found his mobile phone near the well and later his floating body in the well.
