A man committed suicide allegedly after injuring his wife with a knife. The deceased was identified as S. Kondababu (35), a native of Anakapalli village of Sabbavaram mandal.
According to the police, the deceased was married about 11years ago and had been harassing his wife since then. On Friday night, he allegedly beat his wife following which she approached the police. But the case was settled after Kondababu promised not to repeat such a thing.
On reaching home he allegedly attacked his wife with a knife and caused injuries to her face.
Case booked
On Saturday, she lodged a complaint with the Sabbavaram Police and a case was booked.
She had sent to KGH for treatment.
But when the police went in search of Kondababu, he was found missing. On Sunday morning, his body was found floating in an agricultural well.
The police suspect that it could either be a case of suicide or he would have accidentally slipped into the well under the influence of alcohol.
The body has been sent for post mortem.
