The Three Town police arrested K. Siva Prasad, businessman and husband of Payakraopeta MLA V. Anitha here on Sunday and sent in judicial remand.
Based on a complaint filed by the MLA, the police booked him under IPC Sections 448 for house- trespass, 506 for criminal intimidation and 380 for theft in dwelling house, Three Town SHO Tirumal Rao said.
Ms. Anitha lodged a complaint on Saturday night against her husband stating that Mr. Siva Prasad had entered her apartment in Chinna Waltair area in her absence and tried to take away some important documents and their eight-year-old son and six-year-old daughter.
The two have been living separately for the last few months and the MLA had alleged harassment by her husband. It is learnt that the MLA had filed a divorce petition and it is pending with the local family court.
