2 dalam, 9 militia members surrender
Two dalam members and nine militia members of the banned CPI (Maoist) have surrendered to Superintendent of Police Koya Praveen here on Monday.
Pangi Chinna Rao (20) and Gemmeli Malleswara Rao (28) were with the party’s militia for the last five years and were functioning as members of the Pedabayalu dalam led by Sudheer for the last one year. They were forced to work for the dalam and acted as sentries in an incident at Killamkota when the Maoists killed Bachhali Balakrishna in 2014 and were also involved in the attack on an Ashramam at Guladam Veedhi.
