A 25-year-old housewife committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her residence at Reddy Kancharapalem area under Kancharapalem police station limits in the city on Monday.
The family members noticed the attempt in the last minute and broke open the door and shifted her to a hospital, but it was too late. She was declared brought dead. The deceased was identified as M. Sandhya, wife of M. Suresh and the couple was working at a private school as teachers.
Raghuveer Vishnu, Inspector of Kancharapalem police station, said that Sandhya was married to Suresh about eight years ago and the couple had two children.
The police said that they were yet to ascertain the exact cause for it.
