Housewife commits suicide
A 30-year-old woman died under suspicious circumstances in the Koruprollu area under S. Rayavaram Police Station limits in Visakhapatnam district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as U. Nookaratnam.
As per reports, the woman committed suicide by hanging herself unable to cope with the harassment she was subjected to allegedly by her husband U. Satish, an auto-rickshaw driver, for giving birth to three girl children.
While relatives of the deceased said that Nookaratnam was killed allegedly by her husband and in-laws, and staged a protest in front of the police station demanding that the accused be immediately arrested, Satish’s family claimed that she committed suicide.
Sub-Inspector B. Rama Rao has registered a case and investigation is on.
