Accused procuring bottles from Kolkata
Excise officials from the Circle –II range, arrested one person and seized 114 non-duty paid foreign liquor bottles at Adhi Peta in Visakhapatnam city, late on Thursday night.
The arrested person was identified as Kamal Juda, who was procuring the bottles from Kolkata and selling them at profit of about Rs. 2,000 per bottle, according to Excise Inspector Papinaidu.
The bottles seized included top foreign brands such as Johnnie Walker Double Black, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Chivas Regal and Grey Goose vodka.
Total value
The total value of the bottles seized is about Rs. 10 lakh.
