Couple sentenced to life in triple murder case:

Fourth Additional District Judge G. Gopi sentenced a couple, Y. Chinna Rao and his wife Y. Rekha, who were facing charges of a triple murder case, to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 on Friday.
Additional Public Prosecutor N. Sanyasi Rao said that Rekha with the support of her husband Chinna Rao murdered her father K. Lakshminarayana and his second wife K. Mahalakshmi and their daughter K. Dhana (10) on June 5, 2010, over family and property disputes at Simhachalam area in Visakhapatnam, and they also attempted to kill Lakshminarayana’s son K. Santhosh.
Lakshminarayana was a resident of Makavaram area in Srikakulam district and Rekha was Lakshminarayana’s first wife K. Bodamma’s daughter.
Bodamma died in an accident after an under construction building collapsed on her and later Lakshminarayana married Mahalakshmi in 1995 and the couple has two children Santhosh and Dhana. Lakshminarayana performed his first daughter Rekha marriage with Chinna Rao.
As per the reports, Lakshminarayana got Rs. 2 lakh as compensation for the death of his first wife Bodamma and Chinna Rao and Rekha demanded a share of Rs. 50,000 from the compensation amount.

As Lakshminarayana refused to give the money, Rekha and her husband developed grudge and eliminated Lakshminarayana, Mahalakshmi and Dhana in a planned way in Simhachalam area. The then Inspector of Gopalapatnam police station U. Ravi Prakash arrested the couple and booked a case under Section 302 of IPC against them.
