Two motorcycle borne persons, snatched a bag containing Rs. 50,000 from a mother and daughter duo, as they walked out of a bank carrying the amount.
The duo, S. Kondamma (50) and S. Kumari (25), after drawing the amount from State Bank of India, Dondaparthy branch, was walking towards Diamond Park, when the miscreants both wearing helmets, approached them from behind in a motorcycle. To divert their attention, they casually tapped Kumari from behind, and they spun around to see, the pillion rider snatched the bag and both sped away. K. Prabhakar Rao (55) a railway employee who was coming from the Diamond Park side, gave a hot chase, turning around, after hearing the victims scream for help.
