Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has registered significant results in the present fiscal in terms of production, projects, finance, marketing and personnel related issues. The steel producer reported 12 per cent of growth in all the production areas and improvement in capacity utilisation of mills along with techno-economic parameters. While revealing the companys performance at a media conference here on Friday, Chairman cum Managing Director of RINL, P K Rath claimed that there has been a notable progress with the coke oven battery-5, central dispatch yard, KBR-2 projects. The CMD said that the forged wheel plant project at Rai Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh is set to be commissioned in another six months. On sales, he said that the growth in sales has been more than 25 percent and the turnover is expected to cross Rs 20,500 crore, which is highest since inception of the company.
