Dredging Corporation of India Limited turnover rises to Rs.612 crore

The turnover of the Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) for 2018-19 has risen to Rs. 698.51 crore against Rs. 612.12 crore during the previous year, according to a press release issued by the company on Friday (31-05-2019).

The board of directors of the company has recommended for the approval of the shareholders the annual results for 2018-19 in the board meeting that was conducted here in the city on Thursday.

During the 2018-19 financial year, the Public Sector Unit carried out dredging activities for Kolkata/Haldia Port, Cochin Port, Kamrajar (Ennore) Port, Paradeep Port, Cochin Shipyard, Visakhapatnam Port, Mongla Port (Bangladesh), Gujarat Maritime Board, Indian Navy-Kochi, Gangavaram Port, and Mumbai Port.

The profit after tax for the 2018-19 financial year has more than doubled to Rs. 44.59 crore as against Rs. 17.14 crore for 2017-18. The earning per share (EPS) of the company has also more than doubled to Rs. 15.92 per share for 2018-19 as against Rs. 5.94 per share for 2017-18.

The board has recommended a dividend of 30% (previous year 20% ) per equity share of Rs. 10 each.
