DCIL turnover rises to Rs.612 crore

The profit after tax of the Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has risen to Rs.16.64 crore during 2017-18 against Rs.7.24 crore during the previous year. The board meeting was held in New Delhi. The turnover for the year was Rs.612.12 crore against Rs.598.97 crore the previous year 2016-17. During 2017-18, the company carried out dredging activities for Kolkata/Haldia Port, Cochin Port, Paradeep Port, Cochin Shipyard, Visakhapatnam Port, Andaman Nicobar, Kandla, Gujarat Maritime Board, and Mumbai Port. Earning Per Share (EPS) more than doubled to Rs.5.94 for 2017-18 against Rs.2.54 for the previous year 2016-17. The board recommended a dividend of 20 per cent for the year 2018-18. The Government of India holds 73.47 of the share capital of the Company of Rs.28 Cr.
