Our artist for the month of May, June, July, August & September 2002, is Smt. Lata Sheshadri Raja. Smt. Lata has a keen interest in painting and is most interested in pencil sketching, water colours and oil pastels. She has had no formal training but dabbles in art for the sheer interest and joy of it, formulating a style of her own. In addition to painting in various mediums she also does vegetable painting, needlework and other art related works. 

She has been training under Jumana Topiwala, to give that final flourish to her art work. Just recently, her paintings were on display in a two-day exhibition at the WelcomHotel Grand Bay.

Smt. Lata is the wife of Mr. Sheshadri Raja, who works with the Indian Registry of Shipping. They have been in the port city of Visakhapatnam for the past few years.
