Ahead of the municipal elections scheduled on March 10, G Srijana was asked to report to the General Administration Department in Amaravati until further posting. Her transfer order came into effect after she applied for a long leave. The outgoing commissioner G Srijana has been sanctioned earned leave from February 15 to March 15 on personal affairs. VMRDA metropolitan commissioner P Koteswara Rao has been kept in full additional charge for the post of GVMC commissioner during this period. |

Nagalakshmi S, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been posted as commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC). Serving as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL), headquartered in Visakhapatnam, before being posted as GVMC chief, her services were withdrawn from the state energy department.
