Smt. Gobbila Vidyadhari, IAS, has assumed charge as the Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate of Visakhapatnam district following the recent administrative reshuffle undertaken by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Her appointment was made through G.O. Rt. No. 63, issued by Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand on January 12, 2026, as part of a broader reallocation of IAS officers aimed at strengthening district-level administration and enhancing the delivery of public services.
With her posting to Visakhapatnam, one of the state’s major urban districts, Smt. Vidyadhari will work closely with District Collector M. N. Harendhira Prasad, IAS, in managing key administrative functions including revenue administration, maintenance of law and order, implementation of development programmes and disaster management.
As Joint Collector, she will play a crucial role in coordinating inter-departmental operations, monitoring government schemes, ensuring effective public service delivery and supporting the District Collector in overall governance.
The reshuffle underscores the state government’s commitment to improving administrative efficiency by positioning capable officers in districts facing evolving developmental needs.
