NTPC-Sipat Executive Director V.B. Fadnavis has taken over as Regional Executive Director (South).
NTPC-Simhadri and Pudimadaka projects in Visakhapatnam will come under his jurisdiction.
A graduate in mechanical engineering from Devi Ahilya Viswa Vidyalay, Indore and M.Tech in thermal engineering from IIT-New Delhi, he began his career in NTPC as Engineering Executive Trainee in 1979.
Rich and varied experience
He has rich and varied experience in operation and maintenance, project management of gas based units, thermal power plants including super critical units.
In a career span of over three and half decades in the National Thermal Power Corporation, Fadnavis held several important positions and worked as head of project of Auraya gas based station in Uttar Pradesh, Talcher Super Thermal Power Station, Kaniha in Odisha and Sipat Super Thermal Power Station in Chhattisgarh.
