Dr. G Trinadh Kumar, an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, has assumed charge as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
A senior IFS officer of the 2002 batch from the AGMUT cadre, Dr. Kumar brings more than two decades of administrative and technical expertise in forestry, environment, wildlife management, biodiversity conservation, and natural resource management.
Before joining RINL, he served as Inspector General of Forests (Central) in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change at Hyderabad and also held the position of Regional Director, Forest Survey of India, South Zone, Bengaluru. He possesses extensive experience in the administration and management of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Export Oriented Units (EOUs).
Dr. G Trinadh Kumar holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from Indian Agricultural Research Institute and has specialized in forestry, biotechnology, environment, and wildlife conservation.
During his distinguished career, he served in ecologically sensitive regions including the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Goa, where he gained significant experience in biodiversity conservation, coastal zone management, tribal welfare, and community participation in natural resource management.
