MO(V) GOLF CUP 2009 HELD AT ENC : The Material Organisation (Visakhapatnam) hosted its inaugural MO(V) Golf at the Naval Integrated Sports Complex (NISC), INS Dega on Sunday, 30th August,
2009. The MO (V) Golf Cup - 2009 was inaugurated by Vice Admiral Anup Singh, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, the Chief Patron of NISC and an avid Golfer himself. The Tourney also coincided with the Golfing out of Rear Admiral Anurag G Thapliyal, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet.
The Material Organisation (Visakhapatnam), that is responsible for providing complete supply chain Management to all Ships and Establishments of the Eastern Naval Command and Andaman & Nicobar Command, hosted the Event under the aegis of the Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command. The Contest was held in two sessions and a total of 90 Golfers participated. In addition, a Special Putting Competition was also held for the ladies.
Rear Admiral Satish Soni, Chief Of Staff, Eastern Naval Command gave away prizes to the winners at a dinner function held in the evening at the NISC. Commander Suneet Kaith won the inaugural edition of the MO (V) Golf Cup and Lieutenant Commander J Mohanty was the Runner-up. |
