Comedy skits have the audience in splits:

The fourth Sunday of every month seems to be special for a motley group of professionals to come together on the same stage and make the audience laugh to their heart’s content.
United by a common thread of performing arts, these professionals present a series of comedy skits, keeping the focus on current issues, each lasting anywhere between 3 and 10 minutes.
In 2013, when Vysakhi Cultural Club came into existence, the monthly edition served as a great stress buster for those who wanted to take a break from their prosaic work life. Today, it is through this medium that the group could convey their message to diverse audience. The themes range from current affairs to day-to-day experience, conversation between husband and wife to a doctor and a patient.
“The process of getting busier in our lives is making us forget to laugh. Our goal is to usher in the lost fun element through ‘Navvula Harivillu’ programme. The focus is also on presenting funny skits that convey a social message,” says V.H.L. Sri Nagesh, founder and president of the club, Inspector of Police (CID) and a gold medallist in theatre arts.
Mr. Sri Nagesh believes in the theory that laughter is the best medicine. His love for performing arts makes him easily adapt to different roles, infusing generous dose of humour in the narration effortlessly. From a reporter to a doctor and a cop, he enthrals a packed hall with his witty one liner jokes.
On the advantages of being associated with the club, E. Bhanu Prakash, regional sales manager of Bio Vitamins Limited, says, “In a fast-paced life, one should know how to make the most of the time. Since my work is target-oriented, the forum helps me to rejuvenate and recharge to meet deadlines.”
Terming the club as a channel to exhibit her acting skills, M. Haritha, a lecturer-turned-artiste, says, “With most of the witty lines related to our daily life, the platform also provides an opportunity to add fun element to relationships.”

The comedy shows span a couple of hours on every fourth Sunday of the month.
