A woman, who is a suspect in a theft case, has alleged police harassment in the name of interrogation.
N Priya, the suspect, lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) T. Ravi Kumar on Wednesday alleging that Kancharapalem SI (Crime) Santosh Kumar was summoning her to the police station at odd hours and harassing her in the name of investigation.
Priya said that some unidentified miscreants had stolen some valuables from her neighbour’s house a few months ago.
She said that she would approach the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) against the SI for his ‘harassment’.
