Van drivers murder case cracked:

Gajuwaka Police have cracked the murder case of a van driver, whose body was found on a vacant site abutting the BC Road on June 25.

According to the SHO of the police station Ch. Vivekananda, Duda Rambabu (33) a resident of China Rushikonda village, was allegedly murdered by Karasa Lakshmi (42), resident of Bhanojithota, Gajuwaka, and her son Karasa Venkata Ramana (19) on June 24 night.

Rambabu, who was married and father of four children, deserted his family and moved to Gajuwaka a year ago.

There he was cohabiting with Lakshmi a corn seller, since last six months. He was an alcoholic and would pick up quarrel and beat her up almost every night, suspecting her fidelity.

Unable to bear the torture, Lakshmi and her son Venkata Ramana decided to eliminate him.

On June 24, at about 10 p.m. when the deceased was sleeping on the terrace, the duo beat him up with a stick and when he fell unconscious, they pushed him down from the second floor onto the neighbouring vacant site where concrete blocks were stocked. He died of multiple injuries.

The police have arrested the duo and also a friend has been taken into custody on Friday, for assisting the accused.
