Annual sports meet of Visteel Mahila Samiti, which saw enthusiastic participation of women, concluded at the Col. C.K. Nayudu Ukku Stadium on Friday.
RINL Director (Personnel) GBS Prasad, chief guest at the valedictory, promised support from the Steel Plant management to VMS in future endeavours. He gave away prizes to the winners in various competitions.
VMS honorary president Gowri Annapurna, president Preethi Roy Chand, vice-presidents Bindu Mahapatra, Rama Devi and D.V.P. Saroja, secretary Vanita Rao, joint secretary Padma Goud, GM (HR) and chairman VSP Sports Committee T.Sunder, and AGGM (Sports) M.S. Kumar were present.
VMS organised shuttle badminton, tenicoit, throwball and athletics apart from some fun games and sports quiz. Special awards were presented to the best woman athlete from WIPS/VSP to Deputy Manager (HR) B. Sanjeevini, and best athlete from VMS to Eswari Singh.
