The body of a three-year-old girl was found in the bushes near her house under mysterious circumstances, in Sector-1 of Duvvada on Tuesday (09-10-2018) morning.
The victim has been identified as R. Alekya who went missing on Monday (08-10-2018) evening while she was playing near her house.
According to Duvvada police, parents of the girl—R. Krishna, a daily wager and R. Meenakshi— lodged a complaint on Monday night saying that Alekya was missing. Though the police launched a search operation to trace the girl, their efforts went in vain.
At around 6.10 a.m. on Tuesday, the body of the girl was found in the bushes near her house. "We suspect that it’s a murder case as the body had several injuries. However, any specific reasons behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. Investigation is on,” said Duvvada police station Inspector Y. Kishore Kumar. The police have shifted the body to King George Hospital (KGH) for autopsy.
