Three of family held on land grabbing charge:

Three members of a family, G. Ammoru and his two sons, Krishna and Krishna Kumar, were arrested by the PM Palem Police on Wednesday on charges of trespassing and land grabbing.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Madhurawada) D. Ravi Babu told the media that Ammoru and eight members of his family sold 697 square yards of land at Rushikonda to Mandava Jayalakshmi in 1985, who in turn sold it to K. Kavitha in 1996.
But Ammoru and his two sons sold the same piece of land to Naidu in 2008. On October 15 this year, Naidu, Ammoru, and his sons trespassed into the land and demolished the compound wall and a shed.
They also threatened the watchman with dire consequences if he resisted.

Based on a complaint filed by Ms. Kavitha’s husband Sivaramakrishna Raju, the police investigated the case and arrested Ammoru and his two sons.
