Semi charred body found:

The semi charred body of a man, aged about 30 years, was found at the Kapu Jagaraju Peta layout under Duvvada police station limits on Sunday morning.

According to Duvvada Inspector Easwar Rao, the man was suspected to have been murdered, as his hands and legs were found tied with binding wire and the same type of wire was used to strangulate him. “Probably after strangulating him, the offenders poured kerosene on the body and set it afire to conceal identity,” he said.
Basing on the PAN card and vehicle registration card that were found in his purse, the police identified him as one Bobbili Purushottam Naidu, a resident of Resapuvanipalem. The deceased was working as contract labourer in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant’s plantation wing, under his brother.
According to the police, the deceased was supposed to return home on Saturday evening. As he had not returned home, his family members lodged a complaint in various police stations. His body was found by a passer-by in the vacant layout and he informed the police. The deceased was later identified by the family members at the mortuary, said Mr. Easwar Rao.
The police were yet to ascertain the reason for the murder and investigation was on.
