B. Siva Adinarayana (32), a lorry driver and an accused in the murder of his niece U. Bhavita (18), reportedly committed suicide by handing himself from a ceiling fan on Thursday night at Sammachinta village under Nathavaram police station limits. Adinarayana had allegedly hacked to death Bhavita in broad daylight at the beauty parlour where she was working on January 15, 2013, under Gajuwaka police station limits as she had spurned his proposal for marriage.
He was nabbed by local people and handed over to the police, but not before given a sound thrashing. Later, he was released on bail and facing court trial. Sources said that Adinarayana was depressed as he suspected that he might be convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.
