Man held, stolen articles recovered:

The Pendurthy police arrested Chebolu Vijay Kumar (33) on Thursday, who was allegedly involved in nine cases of house-breaking by night in Pendurthy and MVP Colony since March this year, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) S. Varada Raju. The police recovered 6 kg. of silver, 50 gms of gold, one LCD television and home theatre and cash of Rs. 1,00,000.

According to Pendurthy police station SHO, S. Adam, between 2005 and 2007, the accused was involved in 30 house breaking incidents in areas such as Pendurthy, Chodavaram, Kancharapalem and Fourth Town police station limits. “He also served conviction,” said the SHO.

Mr. Varada Raju informed the press that the accused worked as SPO (special police officer) and police informer from 2008 to 2014 at PM Palem police station. “He was dismissed in March this year for his bad conduct and thereafter he committed all the nine crimes,” said the ADCP.
