A 30-year-old man was allegedly done to death by the husband of the woman with whom he was having an affair, in the wee hours of Tuesday at Indira Nagar Colony under Kancharapalem police station limits.
The deceased, B. Satish, an employee of a private travel firm, was having an illicit connection with a woman.
The woman was separated from her husband S. Chander Rao sometime ago. Unable to bear the harassment by Satish, she wanted to eliminate him and took the help of her estranged husband and his brother S. Satyanarayana alias Sattiraju for the task, said the SHO of Kancharapalem Police Station Raghuveer Vishnu.
The trio hatched a plan and the woman invited the deceased to her house on Monday night. She made him drink alcohol and when he was in no condition to resist, both the brothers beat him up with iron rods.
He suffered severe head injuries. To cover up the case, the woman called up her brother and asked him to take Satish to a hospital. He died on reaching King George Hospital.
The woman and Sattiraju were taken into custody, while Chander Rao is still at large.
