MLA, PA, DSP blamed for suicide of SI:

G. Veeranjaneyulu, 28-year-old Sub-Inspector of Police, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train, near Simhachalam railway station, in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday night. As per a suicide note, reportedly found on his person, the SI had blamed Etcherla MLA Kala Venkat Rao, his personal assistant Naidu and DSP Ranga Raju for pushing him to take the extreme step.According to his close friends and family members, the Sub-Inspector had been in a depressed state of mind for the last few days and had even said that he wanted to end his life. Veeranjaneyulu had been earlier implicated in a bribery case, when he was working as SI on probation at Vangara police station in Srikakulam district.
He joined service on January 23, 2014, and was posted at Vangara, and in the month of October, he was caught red-handed by the sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 from K. Satyanarayana, LIC Agent, for releasing his motor cycle which was involved in an accident. He was thereafter on remand for about 28 days at the Visakahapatnam Central Jail and trail by the ACB Special Court was on.
According to his family members, his suspension was on the verge of being revoked, but the news of a fresh departmental enquiry being initiated had depressed him.
GRP Circle Inspector Koteswara Rao told that the SI jumped in front of a goods train sometime after 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The CI also said that all angles were being probed and the persons mentioned in the suicide note would be questioned.
The deceased was the son a retired employee of Hindustan Shipyard and was yet to be married. He has an elder brother serving as Head Constable in APSP Battalion at Khammam. An elder sister of his was married off by his father from the retirement funds and the SI was also worried about the pending marriage of his younger sister.

Family members told that he was an honest police officer and was framed in the ACB case and the PA of the MLA had a hand in it and also in initiating the fresh departmental enquiry.
