KJ Puram Village Revenue Officer (VRO) caught by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in bribery case

The ACB sleuths caught K.J. Puram VRO Vadapalli Venkata Satya Siva Ramakrishna red-handed when he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 9,000 from a farmer, at V. Madugula on Wednesday (15-11-2018).

According to ACB DSP K. Ramakrishna Prasad, the VRO, who is also in-charge of Vantarlapalem, alegedly demanded a bribe from Bheesetty Jagga Rao, a farmer from K.J. Puram village, for mutation of revenue records pertaining to 6.88 acres. Jagga Rao had inherited the piece of land from his father. The accused VRO allegedly demanded the bribe to get the online entry of land documents done and issuing of the e-passbooks to Mr. Rao and his three brothers. "Despite accepting a bribe of Rs. 1,000 in the past, the VRO did not initiate the process and demanded Rs. 9,000 more," the ACB DSP said.
