A first-year Intermediate student of a private junior college allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house under PM Palem police station limits on Friday evening.
According to the police, she was the second daughter in her family and her father had died recently and her mother was a daily wage worker.
Recently, her sister’s marriage was performed with many difficulties and her mother asked her to quit studies, due to financial problems in the family. According to the police, the mother had informed the police that ever since the girl was told to quit studies, she was in a depressed state. Inspector of Police S Appalaraju registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC.
